Vegan Chocolate Pie with Pecan Crust



Indulge in the rich and creamy delight of this vegan chocolate pie with a nutty pecan crust. This decadent dessert is perfect for satisfying your sweet cravings while staying true to your plant-based lifestyle.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups pecans, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups dates, pitted
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups vegan chocolate chips
  • 1 14 oz can coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

Warm the oven up to 175F 350C

Chop up the pecans and add them to a food processor along with the dates, cocoa powder, and salt

Mix until it comes together when you press it between your fingers

To make the crust, press the pecan mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a pie dish

It's time to take the crust out of the oven and let it cool

Coconut milk should be heated in a saucepan until it just starts to simmer

Once it's cool, add the chocolate chips and stir them in until they melt and become smooth

Stir the chocolate mixture well after adding the vanilla extract and maple syrup

Put the chocolate filling into the pecan crust that has been left to cool

Put the pie in the fridge for at least four hours, or until it's set

Cut it up and serve it cold
