Butter Spritz Cookies



These delightful Butter Spritz Cookies are buttery, melt-in-your-mouth treats that are perfect for any occasion. Their delicate shape and delicious flavor will have you reaching for more!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Food coloring optional

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375F 190C

In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy

Add the vanilla extract and mix until well combined

Gradually add the flour and salt to the mixture, mixing until a smooth dough forms

If desired, add a few drops of food coloring to the dough and mix until the color is evenly distributed

Fit a cookie press with the desired shape disc

Fill the cookie press with the dough

Press cookies onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving about 1 inch of space between cookies

Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until the edges of the cookies are lightly golden

Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely
