Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350F 175C

In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda

Set aside

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, and salt until the mixture is light and fluffy

Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, until well combined

Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined

Stir in the semisweet chocolate chips

Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are golden brown around the edges but still soft in the centers

Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely

Enjoy your delicious soft batch chocolate chip cookies!
